    • Charles Florence Turner, 90, passed away on February 27, 2019. Sister Turner was born February 26, 1929 to Nicholas and Connie Jean Slay.

      She was married to Willie E Turner. They had nine children. Charles Florence grew up as a farmer’s wife and worked hard by his side in the fields. She also worked as a seamstress in a shirt factory in Toxey, Alabama until retirement.

      She was preceded in death by her parents and all eight siblings. She is survived by: nine children, Sadie Pleasure, Ruth Love, Shirley Abell, Connie Moss, Eurial (Thelena) Turner, Agnes DuBose, Elizabeth Robinson, Bennie White and Debra (Tony) Morton; twenty-nine grandchildren; forty-seven great grandchildren; one devoted sister-in-law, Annie R. Hampton; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

      Service for Sister Charles Florence Turner will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Fairview Missionary Baptist Church with Elder Eurial Turner officiating. Interment to follow at St. John C.M.E. Church Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Weatherly-Studdard Memorial Funeral Home, Butler, Alabama.
