    • Billie Jean Parr, 72, Stillwater, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2001. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday in Strode Chapel. The Rev. Wayne Sanmann will officiate. Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Strode Funeral Home.

      Parr was born June 1, 1928, in Little Rock, Ark., to Jasper and Minnie (Boydston) Corn.

      She married Robert E. Parr on Dec. 15, 1946, in Little Rock. He died Aug. 13, 2000.

      Parr lived in Stillwater, Yale, Tulsa and Turpin in Oklahoma; Beaver, Rogers, Arkadelphia and Little Rock in Arkansas; and Fort Worth and Wichita Falls in Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of the Southside Baptist Church.

      In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her parents and one sister, Billie W. Gale.

      Parr is survived by two sons, Robert G. Parr and wife Pamela Throop of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Randale E. Parr and wife Doeva of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Lynette M. Parr Regier and husband Bob of Turpin; six grandchildren, Benjamin Parr and wife Sarah, Heather Parr Burnside and husband Glenn, Nathan Parr and wife Andrea, Brandi Regier and husband Chad, Matthew Parr and Cody Regier; and four great-grandchildren.

      Pallbearers will be Benjamin Parr, Nathan Parr, Matthew Parr, Cody Regier, Chad Parker and Terry Plunk.

      STILLWATER, Okla. -- Billie Jean Parr, 72, former Turpin, Okla., resident, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, in Stillwater.

      She was born June 1, 1928, to Jasper and Minnie (Boydston) Corn in North Little Rock, Ark.

      She married Robert E. Parr Dec. 15, 1946, in Little Rock. He died Aug. 13, 2000.

      She was also a former resident of Yale, Okla., Beaver, Okla., Rogers, Ark., Tulsa, Okla., Fort Worth, Texas, Wichita Falls, Ark., Arkadelphia, Ark., and Little Rock.

      She was a member of the Southside Baptist Church.

      She was a homemaker and while a resident of Arkadelphia, she worked as a telephone operator. While a resident of Tulsa, she worked as a draftsman for the United States Army Corps of Engineers for almost six years.

      She and her husband, a pastor, retired in 1990, when the moved to Stillwater.

      Her hobbies included needlepoint crafts, reading, working crossword puzzles and spending time with her family.

      Survivors include two sons, Robert G. Parr and wife, Pamela (Throop), Fairbanks, Alaska, and Randall E. Parr and wife, Doneva, Houston, Texas; one daughter, Lynette M. (Parr) Regier and husband, Bob, Turpin; six grandchildren, Benjamin Parr and wife, Sarah, Heather (Parr) Burnside and husband, Glenn, Nathan Parr and wife, Andrea, Brandi (Regier) Parker and husband, Chad, Matthew Parr and Cody Regier; and four great-grandchildren.

      She was also preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Billie W. Gale.

      Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Strode Chapel in Stillwater, with Pastor Wayne Sanmann presiding.

      Burial will be at the Fairlawn Cemetery in Stillwater. Strode Funeral Home in Stillwater is in charge of arrangements.
